Inspired by the symbolism of Buddhist Toranas, the architectural language connects the institution to its cultural context, while the iconic Super Tree serves as a symbolic expression of knowledge, enlightenment, and innovation. The campus integrates key components of contemporary academic planning, including library architecture, auditorium architecture, administration building architecture, and academic facilities, creating a distinctive model of educational institution architecture rooted in the heritage of Bodhgaya.

The Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya incorporates sustainable campus design through climate-responsive planning, landscaped courtyards, shaded cloisters, native planting, interconnected pedestrian networks, natural daylighting, and environmentally responsive infrastructure. The Super Tree further integrates water filtration, renewable energy generation, passive cooling, and climate-control systems, combining symbolic architecture with environmental performance. Rainwater harvesting, energy-efficient building systems, low-impact materials, and water-sensitive landscape strategies reinforce the campus’s sustainable approach, while its GRIHA 4-Star rating reflects its commitment to environmentally responsible design.
