Harrow School, Bengaluru

Institutional

Harrow International School brings the architectural legacy of one of the world’s distinguished educational institutions into a contemporary global education campus shaped by Bengaluru’s climate, culture, and landscape. The Harrow International School campus integrates academic, residential, cultural, and recreational facilities through a landscape-led approach to master planning, educational architecture, and institutional architecture, creating an environment that supports collaboration, wellbeing, and experiential learning. Inspired by Harrow’s identity and Bengaluru’s garden-city character, the Harrow School campus design combines shaded courtyards, open learning environments, interconnected public spaces, and a landmark clock tower that forms the symbolic heart of the campus. With a focus on architecture for schools, education infrastructure, and infrastructure planning, the Harrow School Bengaluru campus creates a distinctive model for contemporary international school design and holistic education.

The campus incorporates sustainable design principles through climate-responsive planning and environmentally conscious building strategies, including naturally ventilated courtyards, deep overhangs, jaali screens, passive daylighting, landscaped pedestrian networks, native planting, and water-sensitive landscape systems. Rooftop solar panels and energy-efficient infrastructure further support the campus’s environmental performance, while the integration of building services within the clock tower optimizes land use and operational efficiency. By combining master planning, institutional architecture, landscape architecture, and auditorium architecture with sustainable education infrastructure, Harrow School Bengaluru architecture creates a contemporary learning environment that connects heritage, innovation, and environmental responsibility.
