Sri Aurobindo College, Ludhiana

Institutional

This Institute was established in 2004 in Ludhiana with a vision to become the finest college for education in Commerce and Management. It aimed to follow the teachings of Rishi Aurobindo, who encouraged ‘Integral Education’ as a necessity for building social community with the potential to contribute sensitively towards the environment it exists in. The building blocks on the site are organized in such a way that they merge with the existing geographical setting. Indeed, special attention was given to environmental planning in the project, so it minimally affected the eco-sensitive balance of Jhande village, where the Institute is located. The campus is dominated chiefly by the presence of lush green lawns and paved and unpaved open spaces, as well as play fields. The extensive greens designed around the building blocks are utilized for both teaching and multipurpose public activities.
