Shriram Piston and Rings Limited manufactures and supplies automotive parts, such as diesel and gasoline pistons, pins, rings and engine valves, to noteworthy automobile brands. Impressed with the design and execution of their Ghaziabad facility, the Client also awarded the design of this facility in Pathredi to the Architects. With a distinctly rectangular site, the form was developed longitudinally. The three phases were completed in a record time of twelve months each. While initially the Client had desired steel construction, considering the climatological conditions of the area as well as the microscale production of different components, the Architects suggested that they opt for an RCC structure. A pitched RCC roof, with drainage pipes accommodated on the sides, regulates rainwater disposal.
