Maharishi Valmiki Hospital, New Delhi

Health Care

The Maharishi Valmiki Hospital in Delhi was planned as a facility that would provide secondary (district) level medical care to the inhabitants of Pooth Khurd, located in the outer fringes of the capital city. Some of the services offered by this 350-bed hospital, include consultancies in Gynaecology, pediatrics, medicine, surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, ENT and dental care. The architecture of the project is strictly functional and designed to provide maximum efficiency to the patients and their families. CPKA is known for designing healthcare facilities with sensibility and sensitivity, and this project is no different. The design of the 2, 00, 000 sq. ft. built-up area facility set on a 9 acre plot is done in such a way that it keeps the external traffic at bay by offsetting the building from the main road at a considerable distance. An expansive and dense patch of green land surrounds the site, acting as a noise and dust barrier. A frontal lawn has been planned for the hospital in order to create an appealing atmosphere, and there are spillover waiting areas for the large numbers of patients and visitors to this Complex.
