Location: New Delhi
Site Area: 70 Acres
The South Campus of Delhi University was devised to organically interweave with the rocky terrain and natural forest of the ridge along which it is located. The campus and the forest coexist in harmony. The architectural vocabulary of the buildings on site reflect the Post-Independence ideology of modern architecture in India, which is free from the shackles of its colonial past. Durable, rough finishes of exposed concrete and stone rubble reflect the natural ruggedness of the landscape around it.
The South Campus of Delhi University boasts of an Arts and Science faculty, a library, auditorium, administrative block, student hostel, faculty housing, shopping center and recreational complex.
