Eldeco Ananda is located between the urban and sub-urban region in Noida- the meeting point between the densely populated concrete jungle and untouched, greenfield land. It was therefore crucial to create a site responsive, environment friendly building typology that stresses on the quality of open spaces such as roofs and terraces, which would one day become the “breathing lungs” to the ever-expanding city. This project is a conscious attempt to bring architecture closer to nature through spatial typologies. The entire complex appears to rise as parallel steps from the ground, a spontaneous response to the horizontal geometry of the site. Flanking terrace gardens along the sinuous curved profile of the building bring landscape into the built form. Double walls act as natural heat insulators, while pergolas and green climbers offer further protection from excessive heat radiation.
CPKA was chosen as the “Best Architects for Sustainable Design” for this project by Estrade Real Estate Awards 2015.
